Compensation:
USD 100K – 125K/year.

Responsibilities and more:
We are looking for a Tax Administration Manager to join our team. This position provides a broad spectrum of support to the Tax Department in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The candidate will lead and support the execution of business activities with the tax administrators and will work closely with the tax shareholders and tax team on various projects and daily assignments. They will also be responsible for continuous improvements to the processes and methodologies used in the tax department. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, technical, and procedural skills, coupled with the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize numerous projects in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:
– Support managing tax shareholders by providing relevant and timely insights into the tax department and assisting with additional administrative functions.
– Assist with facilitating day-to-day processes within the department.
– Oversee tax administrative functions to ensure efficient and consistent operations in the tax department.
– Review correspondences, reports, and other documents; prioritize such materials and prepare summaries as necessary.
– Assist in the development of training materials and department communications.
– Assist in maintaining databases, spreadsheets, project trackers, etc. to be current and accurate.
– Assist with third-party vendor follow-up and project management.
– Perform QC for the tax department, including reviewing and implementing process and system changes.
– Identify opportunities for process enhancement and implement strategies to streamline workflows and increase efficiency within the department.
– Collaborate seamlessly with senior management and colleagues across all departments to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.
– Manage workflows efficiently with minimal manager involvement, ensuring smooth operations and timely project delivery.
– Identify and implement areas for improvement within the department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
– Implement subtle changes in processes and procedures to drive positive outcomes while minimizing disruption.
– Engage proactively with senior shareholders, contributing valuable insights and aligning departmental goals with overall organizational objectives.

Qualifications:
– Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or related field is required.
– 7+ years in an administrative capacity with Tax operations is required.
– A basic understanding of accounting and/or its environment is required.
– Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft applications.
– Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods (February 1st to April 15th and August 15 to – October 15th) to meet business demands.
– Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
– Demonstrate strong leadership abilities to effectively guide and motivate team members toward achieving organizational goals.
– Display a high level of motivation and a desire for personal and professional advancement, actively seeking opportunities for self-improvement and career progression within Tonneson.
– Tech-savvy with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications i.e. CCH – Axcess applications, ProSystem Fx, SurePrep, SafeSend Return (SSR), and RightSignature.
