Overview

 Ensuring company owned vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical
manner and in full compliance with class and statutory regulations
 Communicating with the Port Captain, Port Authorities and vessel captain with
reference to Certification, Safety.
 Responsible for personnel/crewing regarding documentation, repatriations, crew
changes, welfare and all related matters
 Responsible for timely delivery of supplies and making sure purchase requisitions are
being tracked and expedited in a timely manner as well as ensuring that sufficient
spares are carried on board.
 Ensuring all vessels carry the necessary publications, operational manuals and other
essential documentation required by the Flag State and other regulatory bodies. As
well as ensuring that these documentations are updated as required
 Maintains communication, including frequent visits, to assist in the selection and
installation of machinery, equipment, and safety appliances to ensure compliance
with applicable regulations, company safety, and environmental policy and reporting
same to DPA
 Monitoring the performance of sub-contractors services provided to vessel
operations (e.g. consumables, catering) and liaising with sub-contractor to report,
discuss and implement any corrective actions considered necessary.
 Ensuring technically related incidents, failures and damages are properly investigated
and reported.
 Responsible for building internal and external networks within the oil / marine
industries, and liaise with peers to capture and apply industry best practice
methodologies and technologies within the Company
 Responsible for  internal and external audits of vessel working on the project to
ensure compliance to charterers specifications
