News Manager
• Reports to the GM
• Conducts news interviews
• Covers news events, edits news, presents news, casts news and analyses news and issues.
• Supervises News operations including news staff (Reporters, Anchors and Producers)

Qualifications
• Degree/ HND in Mass Communication, Journalism, Communication Arts, English Language or any of the Social/ Life/ Physical Sciences, or Humanities, etc.
• Candidate must i) be a goal-getter newsman with eyes and nose for news ii) must understand broadcast news writing and presentation iii) must have a flair for online news and social media news presentation.
• Higher degree(s) may be an added advantage.
• Over five years’ relevant industry and role experience.
• Strong knowledge of NBC regulations and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
• Lead the news department of the station.
• Develop and oversee the station’s news coverage.
• Manage the newsroom and news staff
•Oversee the station’s online news presentation and social media platforms and mentor the news staff.
