We (Torre) are helping Tonneson + Co find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Client Accounting and Advisory Services Director.

Compensation:
USD 135K – 150K/year.

Location:
Hybrid (401 Edgewater Place suite 300, Wakefield, MA, USA).

What makes you a strong candidate:
• You have 8+ years of experience in accrual accounting.
• You are expert in leadership, customer care, and management.
• You are proficient in QuickBooks.
English – Native or fully fluent.

Responsibilities and more:
The Client Accounting and Advisory Services Director position is responsible for leading our client services team in delivering premium, sophisticated accounting, and financial reporting services to our clients. As the Client Accounting and Advisory Services Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our client services strategy while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the team. While this is a Director role, this person will remain very hands-on and personally design policies, onboard new clients, deliver high-level accounting and advisory, and lead budgeting and forecasting while delegating and managing your team members’ work.

Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional accounting and advisory services to our clients.
• Manage small business accounting projects for various clients.
• Onboarding new clients.
• Troubleshoot matters as the need arises.
• Managing distribution of workflows and deadlines.
• Record and reconcile monthly general ledger account activity, including accruals and prepaid.
• Analyze and monitor financial information, including variance analysis and cash management.
• Prepare year-end closings to be used for tax preparation purposes.
• Provide payroll services, including monthly and quarterly payroll tax filings.
• Payment of vendor invoices utilizing bill pay software and wire transfers.
• Maintain client contact and provide excellent customer service.
• Proactively anticipate client needs.
• Provide training when necessary and review the work of others.
• Keep abreast of the latest technological developments to deliver outstanding quality service.
• Complete special projects and other requests as needed.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of true debits and credits accounting experience
• Experience in public accounting or other dynamic multi-client environment a plus.
• Experience with managing personnel.
• Licensed CPA preferred but not required.
• QuickBooks experience required.
• Payroll experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
